  1. Corey Taylor, the vocalist for Slipknot, was once left for dead in a dumpster after a few of his 15 year old friends thought he had died of a meth and cocaine overdose at a party. He remembers waking up in the dumpster, and immediately assumed that he must have been put there because of a suspected overdose.
  1. Iron Maiden cover artist Derek Riggs inserted secret messages in his detailed ‘Powerslave’ artwork. Some of the secrets were Mickey Mouse and phrases like “bollocks” and “Indiana Jones was here.”
  1. Dead of the band mayhem, committed suicide in April 1991. He left a note apologizing for firing the gun inside the house and ended it with, “sorry about all the blood.” Euronymous, the guitarist for Mayhem,found his body and took a photos which were later used as the album cover for their album ‘Dawn of the black hearts.’ Euronymous also collected and sent pieces of his skull to other band mates he deemed worthy.
  1. Varg Vikernes, of the band Mayhem, got into a fight and stabbed guitarist Euronymous, the guitarist. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison for murder and the burning of churches.
  1. The band Gulaggh, formerly known as Stalaggh, made albums with vocal recordings being only that of screaming mental patients, rape victims, ex prostitutes, and trouble kids. They are anonymous and in place of a band photo they use a picture that one of one of their vocalists drew in a psychotic state right before he committed suicide.
  1. Pretty, written by vocalist Jonathon Davis of Korn, was written based on an experience he had when he use to work at a coroners. One day on the job a dead baby came in that had been sexually and psychically abused.
  1. Ozzy Osborne’s first tattoos were the letters ‘Ozzy’ on the knuckles of his left hand, which he did himself with a needle and pencil lead.

Ghaal, from the band Gorgoroth, a few years after being released prison was sentenced again, for what he says was self defense, after an apparent intruder broke into his house, and he decided to imprison and torture him for 6 hours, collecting his the blood in a cup and telling him that he was going to drink it.
  1. When Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister tried to get his blood changed for cleaner blood, the doctors said no because they worried his blood was so toxic with drugs that normal blood would kill him.
